Get all strapped in and away we go
this ride is going to be far from slow
This is the start of a wonderful history
With its up's and down's and it's every mystery

The NHS was a fantastic success
the cure of TB was not just a guess
This is the start of a wonderful ride
Aneurin Bevan should be full of pride

"Oh No," this is the scariest part
shut my eyes and grab onto the cart
This is the bit I've always been dreading
ever since the rumour started spreading

This ride was scary and seemed so long
Unlike the NHS which is still going strong
This period of time will stay in history
Life is too short to be but a mystery
