The NHS Rollercoaster Ride
Before the NHS, it was hard to cure an illness
Very expensive to do, until
A Scotsman made it, 60 years ago
And the rollercoaster ride begins
But then they hit a down, TB
It was just like the plague
But it got eradicated
The rollercoaster goes up
A&E copes with the biggest emergencies
What could we do without it
Doctors and nurses perform operations
To save our lives
Will the NHS ever stop
Will the rollercoaster ride end
For the moment that’s a no
We’re not going back to the olden days
An analogy poem.
