17/4/2068 – My Story

Dear Diary

I woke up, hopped out of bed and over to the breakfast table. I sat down and ate my breakfast. After breakfast my mum helped me over to the door and off to the hospital.

We arrived and sat down in the really comfy chairs in the waiting room. When my name came through the loudspeaker the lady escorted mum and me to a room with wheelchairs that had steering wheels on the front.

I picked the one I liked best, then she told us where to go. Mum ran ahead while I drove after her. When we arrived at the ward I hopped off the wheelchair, into the ward and onto the bed.

The Doctor (a man behind a mask that covered his face) told me to roll up my trousers. Then he took a picture of my leg with the odd-looking X-ray camera he held in his hand.

Later that day they joked me that they were going to blast me with a laser beam. I thought they were going to kill me to put me out of my misery (well I was only seven). They really meant that they were going to heal me with a laser. I lay in the bed preparing to die. The laser beam charged up with energy “goodbye cruel world” I shouted. Then it fired. The light nearly blinded me, then it hit my leg.

I stood up, I walked around the room “Yes!” I shouted, “I’m healed.”
