My NHS
One time I was in the gym with my school class and we were doing this exercise where you had to jump over a high pole. I tried to jump over the highest one and I landed on my arm so I went outside to my mum and went straight to the hospital to get checked out and it turned out I had broken my arm.
They kept me in the next day and took me to a ward until my operation. Then they gave me a TV and some toys to play with. It was quite boring. Two hours past and they still didn’t take me for my operation and I was absolutely starving and they wouldn’t give me anything to eat.
After that a doctor came in and took me for my operation. At first I felt really scared then the doctor calmed me down so I wasn’t so scared. I went into the operation room and they put a mask over my face so I fell asleep though the operation. When I woke up I was in the ward again and my mum was beside me. I felt really weird after it but overall it was ok.
Me and my mum went home at 8 o’clock that Friday. My dad and sister were shocked for some reason and never told me why. Anyway it was quite a good day.
I hope the NHS stays the same in the future because it is really good right now and I hope it stays the same.
