National Health Service 60th Anniversary Competition

In this factual essay, I am writing about what I think the National Health Service (NHS) will be like in 2068. For a start, we don’t even know that there will be a NHS in 60 years time but from the way things are going to this date, there probably will be. At the present time, we are constantly funding further medical research. Strategic Health Authorities (SHAs) are constantly improving the National Health Service. This is fantastic. If the SHAs are improving the NHS then hopefully this will ensure that there will be a NHS in 2068.

In 2068 we will have a lot more advanced knowledge about how the human body works. We will be able to perform lots more operations, have more advanced technology and equipment and have some cures for what are, at the present time terminal diseases. If you look at how far medical advances have increased in the past 60 years, it is very exciting to look into the future. It is hard to even imagine what the possibilities are for the NHS in 60 years time.
